HISTORY:

MEDICAL WORLD was founded in June of 1981 by Manhar Parikh( Mike), with only two hundred dollars of initial capital. As a doctor’s supply and medical supply business, Medical World generated $20,000 of revenue in its first year of operation. In 1984 Mr. Parikh expanded his business services by purchasing a competitor medical retail business in Evanston, IL .

Medical World experienced great success in the following years and in 1991 Mr. Parikh decided to further expand his services and products in the area of medical and surgical supplies.
Upon purchasing Paul Marsh Pharmacy in June of 1991, Medical World relocated to its current branch in Crystal Lake, Illinois where it developed two new lines of Ostomy and Mastectomy products.

MEDICAL WORLD currently specializes in six areas of full line supplies.

· Ostomy Supplies.
· Mastectomy Supplies
· Home health care equipment like Wheel chairs, Walkers, Commode, Crutches, Shower benches, hospital       beds, Quad canes, Canes, etc.(see our product listing)
· Medical and Surgical supplies for Doctors.
· Rental equipment.
· Braces such as Sacro Lumber supports, Knee braces, elbow, Stockings, Ankle braces etc.

Medical World is the dealer and distributor for many large companies such as Hollister, Convatec Squibb, Coloplast, Amoena, E & J, Invacare, Spenco, Graham-Field, Duromed Industries, Becton-Dickinson, etc.

MARKETING:

Medical World has become well-known in the north-west suburbs. It has been listed with all five hospitals in the area and is familiar to all local doctors and medical practitioners. Medical World is renowned for maintaining great customer/patient relationships and has developed a family type partnership with all their clients. Medical World is  recognized for its specialty in designing custom stockings and takes great pride in providing superior customer care.
